Coco On The Gogo – Made from Real Sails

This tote started as the sail on a Hunter 42 that spent its working life in Galveston Bay. It retired in 2026, and the sail's dark grey panels came along for the ride — bold contrast against the white cloth. Now it hauls whatever the day needs.

Big, sturdy, and unlined so it rinses out easy. Groceries, beach towels, a change of clothes, a laptop in its sleeve — it all fits. The 16" square base means it stands up on its own instead of tipping over in the back seat.

Sail story

The Hunter 42 is one of those boats you see everywhere on the Texas coast — a roomy cruiser built for weekends on the bay, not the race course. This sail did its time in Galveston Bay and came down in 2026. Where it went before that, and how many sunsets it saw, is part of the mystery — but the creases and the zigzag stitching are all original. This is a one-of-a-kind piece. When it's gone, it's gone.

Construction

Every COTG piece is sewn with French seams — the seam allowance is fully enclosed, which means no raw edges, no fraying, and a cleaner finish inside and out. It's how sailmakers build things to last. We do the same.

Material note

Real used sail. Cleaned and selected carefully. Marks, stitching lines, and texture variation are part of the material — not a flaw. There's a small tan mark on the white panel; we left it. It's part of the sail's history.

Care

Spot clean only. Lay flat to dry.
