Coco On The Gogo – Made from Real Sails

Meet The Tender — my new crossbody. A tender is the little boat that ferries people and messages ship to shore, and that’s this bag’s whole job: carry your everyday stuff across town, hands free.

This one is cut from the same Laser/ILCA radial sail as my two Laser Hauls — a sail that raced Galveston Bay and Offatts Bayou from 2019 to 2024. And this piece landed the good corner of it. The blue radial patch, the original tack patch with the Laser sailmaker label, the Cunningham press ring, and the royalty button all ended up on one 14" x 10" bag. That’s a lot of sail history on one crossbody.

Big #10 molded-tooth zipper up top, and a black rope strap with yellow flecks, knotted through grommets like it would be on the boat. The strap drops 25" as tied — and if you want it shorter, just re-tie the knots at the length you like. Trim the extra rope if you want. Or don’t. It’s your bag now.
